B01 Trail Running Belt

Excellent product! Running with this belt is amazing! I will be using this belt with a 100 miler coming up! Run Prepared!!

I recently received the pack and conducted a field test over the weekend under typical running conditions. Overall, the product performed exceptionally well and met its primary design objective convincingly. In particular, the claimed “zero bounce” behavior was achieved in practice, even while carrying a relatively substantial load.

During the test, I carried a phone, car key, six gels, a trash bag, and both 575 mL and 500 mL flasks without noticeable instability or discomfort. The storage capacity also appeared sufficient to accommodate additional lightweight equipment such as a wind shell or trekking poles. The load distribution and retention characteristics were particularly impressive during continuous movement.

I would, however, like to offer one minor design suggestion for future iterations. The rear storage system consists of both a zippered pocket and a larger internal pocket. In wet conditions, I found that the tactile distinction between the opening of the internal pocket and the gap between the garment layer and the pack itself was not sufficiently pronounced. As a result, on two occasions I unintentionally placed items outside the intended compartment.

A possible improvement would be to incorporate a distinct texture, reinforced edge, or other tactile cue around the lip of the internal pocket. Such a modification could improve usability by allowing runners to more reliably identify the pocket opening through touch alone, particularly during high intensity movement or in wet conditions where visual confirmation is impractical.

Overall, I consider the product to be exceptionally well designed and highly effective in its intended application. I have already recommended it to several friends based on my experience.

Happy to report back that I got my Dera belt last Friday, and brought it to a local running event this last weekend (Windthrow Seattle x Satisfy). Got to test it on 8.5 miles of road and trail, and the belt performed flawlessly! Zero bounce and super comfortable/accommodating. The dial-to-fit was insane too. Every time I took a drink of water, I gave that little dial a click and everything tightened up perfectly. It was a cool conversation starter too, as I had about a dozen people come up and ask to see it and ask how it performed.

The only feedback I’d give was that it would be nice if there was some sort of tab on the pocket openings that stuck out a bit to help differentiate between the pocket and the waistband while on the move. Overall, I give it a 9.9/10 and am stoked to take it on some longer runs this summer!

Great belt holds more than what you need. Dial tech is awesome

This is a brand new belt and it already has the looks of being one of the absolute best. It is on the backs of thise winning trail races and I just had to have one. The materials are absolute bomber, the adjustability is top notch, many pockets, even a waterproof one. NOT ONE THING was overlooked. Sizing is true. If you are looking for a belt, you should definitely just get this one. Can store 2 of the hydrapak bottles they sell, too.
